Planning for the 2021 River Dipping season is underway, having nearly quadrupled in capacity since the program launched in 2012!
In addition to collecting field data, we are once again able to participate in the LaRosa Partnership Program with the State of Vermont.
We've added more than a dozen sampling sites and gratefully welcome several new volunteers to join the ranks of our many veteran River Dippers.
Keeping an eye on the health of the river takes more than just a grappling hook and a trash bag. The chemistry of the river has an impact on what is able to live in the water, and is influenced by the surrounding geology, land use, bank conditions, and even the trees on the shoreline.
